My2018: Hey guys, here's a tour of my town!!!
Hey people!
I'm Erica and I'm from Port Harcourt, Rivers, the treasure base of Nigeria. My town is a really beautiful one, although it has some not-so-beautiful areas.
Allow me to enlighten you about my town.
FOOD
Before I go to native foods, let me first tickle your salivary glands with a picture of the famous NIGERIAN JOLLOF. It is safe to say that this mouth-watering delicacy is making waves worldwide. I had jollof for breakfast this morning, not this particular one though.
In Rivers state, we have seafood in abundance and so our meals are barely devoid of them. They include periwinkle, shrimps, clams, and the rest of them. mouth-watering indeed
CULTURE
When we decide to go cultural, expect FIRE (literally, sometimes..lol).
From our outfits in traditional marriages to activities like boat regatta....You've got to love Rivers state generally.
Oh, and there's the masquerade show during festive periods. Personally, I'm not a fan; but people enjoy watching the shows.
SOCIAL FUNCTIONS
A Port Harcourt carnival is held annually, and it's an opportunity to show the beautiful and colourful diversity the land has to offer.
This is just a brief tour of my town. Hope you love!
