If you are a fisherman who is in need of an affordable, yet high end spinning reel for freshwater or inshore saltwater, the Daiwa Revros is the reel for you. If you are familiar with the Shimano Stella, a, expensive reel that ranges from around $800 to $1,000 USD, Is a high quality saltwater and freshwater reel, and in so many ways, the Daiwa revros is a cheaper yet almost just a good reel.

In the picture above is my Daiwa revros 2500 spooled with 50lb Kasktking braided line and the rod I have it paired with is the original revros rod. This reel itself runs for around $40 to $50 USD, and the revros line has reels line the 2000,2500,3000, and 4000 sizes, which is a good size range for anything from freshwater to saltwater fishing.

This reel is INCREDIBLY smooth. This reel features a full metal spool, anti-reverse switch, a solid metal handle with a smooth handle, a thin bail but flexible (it is thin for flexibilty reasons.) This reel has an air rotor and this reel is incredibly light yet has good torque for cranking in fish. After using this reel in the saltwater more than a dozen times, the reel still feels like it is new.

Comparable to the overpriced shimano stella:

I would venture to say that for 40 to 50 bucks, this reel is gonna last you a long time and give you great results as well. I give this product a 5/5. Go out and get one if you're looking for a nice and affordable inshore/freshwater spinning reel.
