RealTree® Camo Patterns are Coming Soon for GunSkins!

We are happy to reveal the news that Realtree® Camo is coming to GunSkins in 2019. Realtree is a well known brand in the hunting marketplace. As a matter of fact, it had been the single most requested line of camouflage patterns ever since we launched in 2013. Partnering with Realtree has been a dream come true for us!

We can relate to the origin story for Realtree, founded by Bill Jordan. We both know the struggles of creating something new and working hard to make contracts and build interest in our vision. Bill used a piece of paper and colored pencils to create his first camouflage design in 1986. It was clear to him that effective camouflage needed to have dimension and depth. He hoped to create the end-all camouflage pattern, something that was versatile and applicable in a wide range of terrain.

Fast forward thirty years and Realtree is producing distinctive and effective camouflage, available all over the world in the form of hunting apparel, gear, and now GunSkins vinyl gun wraps! Edge is the name of their newest release, which is being referred as "the first camo that disrupts the human form and naturally conceals". We're not surprised that Bill Jordan is still pushing the envelope years after his humble pencil sketch.

Although we currently offer a variety of camouflage patterns for our kits as it is, we believe Realtree is a great addition to compliment our tactical and specialty camouflage. The hunting community knows Realtree by name and will be happy to have the option to wrap their guns and gear in matching camo. Realtree offers photo-realistic designs that work well in close-range, perfect for deer hunting, bow hunting, and fishing!

If you duck hunt, the Realtree Max-5 is the definitive camouflage to use. It will conceal you and your shotgun when you are knee deep in tall grass. If you are hunting the drylands in the woods, Realtree Xtra has been the popular choice for many years. Specifically in the West Coast, Realtree Max 1 XT has been the pattern of choice.

In addition to these tried and true camouflage patterns, we're also going to be offering a yet-to-be-released camouflage pattern called "Timber". Realtree has really come full circle because this new pattern is a nostalgic callback to Bill Jordan's very first camouflage pattern, the one he sketched on paper and colored pencil in the 1980's. He was inspired by the oak tree in the front yard of his parent's house, and it's clear that Timber likewise depicts layered twigs and leaves over a vertical bark background to create a three-dimensional appearance of an oak tree. GunSkins will be the first to offer Timber in a vinyl gun wrap application.

To round out the catalog of Realtree patterns, including Edge, Xtra, Max-5, Max-1 XT, and the new Timber, we're also going to offer a few of the Xtra Colors series. We were thinking about offering either Coral, Paradise Pink, Wild Orchid, or Sea Glass.
