Legend of Blair Witch

in #myth6 years ago

One of the many legends about witches, perhaps the legend of this one is the most famous. Until in the modern era like today even people still believe in the strength and horror stories. The legend is known as Blair Witch.

In 1785, in a small town called Blair, located in Maryland, lived an elderly Irish woman named Elly Kedward. He was accused by local people of having evil magic.

By the local community, Elly was then expelled from her residence. He was then taken to a forest with his eyes closed. At that time a violent snow storm was hit the area. They then tortured the old lady and left her alone in the forest.

The people who had tortured him thought Elly had died. But it turns out his soul haunts the whole forest. At the end of winter a year after that of 1786, Elly Kedward's spirit returned and demanded revenge for her death. Children in Blair also disappear one by one mysteriously.

The horror also enveloped the entire town. They then call it the "Blair Witch". The townspeople then vowed never to mention Elly Kedward again. As soon as the winter is over, residents begin to leave the city of Blair. Blair soon became an uninhabited ghost town.

In the 1820s a man named Burkitt finally bought the properties in the city of Blair. He then began to renovate the property and buildings there. The new owner then officially changed the name of Blair town to Burkittsville in 1824. And to this day Burkittsville has become one of the cities in Maryland, USA.

Years later a 10-year-old boy named Eileen Treacle was pulled by a mysterious hand into the river Tappy East Creek. This event was witnessed by Eileen's parents and the people who were around the river. Relief was immediately done. Although the river water was not deep, but Eileen Treacle was never found.

A few months later, the river's water is full of oil. The breeders who used to graze their livestock around the river began to move their livestock, because the river water killed their livestock. In 1886, the incidence of child disappeared again. This time it happened to a girl named Robin Weaver.

Robin is reportedly lost in the forest and does not return. The rescue crew was demoted. When the rescuers are searching, Robin returns home solely on his own. He also recounted that when he lost in the woods he met an old woman with his legs floating in the air who then invited him to his home.

There he later lived in a dungeon. However Robin then escaped and managed to return to his home. In the 1940s, a man named Rustin Parr who was known to occupy an old house on the hill came to the market in Burkittsville and announced that he had finally "solved it".

The strange words he kept saying finally made the police come to his house. How surprised they were when 7 bodies of children who had been murdered with mystical rituals discovered. Their stomach has been stitched with a pagan symbol.

According to Parr's confession, he had kidnapped the children and placed them on the ground floor of his house. It was there that he then tortured the children and eventually killed him. Parr said that he had been possessed by the spirit of Elly Kedward who hung in the forest in the 18th century and began terrorizing and ordering it to kill the children.
