RE: (IJCH) Rediscovering Greek Mythology - The Minotaur (or Why I feel sorry for the creature and am NOT a Big Fan of Theseus)

in #mythology6 years ago

Awesome read. I am impressed with the way the Greeks interwove their stories. Each mythical creature has its own story, and each god and goddess has theirs, and all of these separate stories are intertwined to create one master story that helped them understand creation from their own cultural worldview. Myth is a very powerful thing.

Sort:

The excellent interactive game/make your own movie called "Detroit: Become Human" uses the same approach.

There are three main characters and three separate stories that are interwoven into a grand multi-themed composite movie.

The stories depict the many ways the A.I. Singularity affect both humans and the intelligent machines (androids).

The androids become sentient and develop a penchant for the same things that humans throughout history have cherished enough to go to war for (e.g., freedom, recognition as individuals, a "life" that is devoid of prejudice and persecution, etc.).

Well, I better stop rambling now.
