Myths of Japanese creation. How did you create Japan?

in #mythology6 years ago

Hello steemers today as usual I bring you curious myths about myths of creation. Where we see those peculiar ways of seeing how they were able to give rise to something as uncertain as the ORIGIN OF EVERYTHING as the universes were created and how we created ourselves. Today I bring you a second part of myths of Japanese creation, if you have not read the first part calm just give it HERE and ready.

  IZANAMI E IZANAGI.

AT THE BEGINNING, heaven and earth were not separated. then, from the ocean of chaos a reed emerged, and this was Kunitiotathi, the eternal ruler of the earth. Then appeared the female god, Izanami, and the male god Izanagai. Both stayed on the floating bridge of the sky, they removed the ocean with a spear of precious stones until this rennet, thus creating the first island, Onorokoro, The two built a house on that island, with a stone column in the center, which forms the spine of the world. izanami surrounded that column on one side and izanagi on the other and when they met face to face, they united in marriage.

His first son was called hiruko, but this one did not grow, so when he turned three he was left adrift in a reed boat. This became Ebisu, god of fishermen.

then izanami gave birth to the eight islands of japan. finally, izanami began to give birth to the gods that would model and rule the world: gods of the sea of the earth, of the wind, of the rain. but when izanami gave birth to the fire he divided it into three parts, Then he left in search of Izanami, headed straight for the land of darkness.

"Come back, my beloved," he called. "The lands you were doing have not yet been completed.

and she appeared saying, "You're too late, I've eaten the food of this land. But I would like to return. Wait, I'll ask permission from the spirits of the earth. But do not look for me. When izanagi got tired of waiting, he broke a barb of the comb in his hair and used it as a torch to follow his wife. When he found her, he saw that his body was already rotting, and that the larvae crawled through him: he was giving birth to the eight gods of thunder. Izanagi recoiled in disgust.

"What a shame," Izanami disagreed, and ordered the demented spirits of hell to kill him.

The spirits chased izanagi, but he managed to escape. He threw his headdress on the ground and it turned into grapes that the spirits stopped to eat. Then he threw the comb, which turned into bamboo shoots and once again the spirits stopped to eat.

When izanagi came to the passage between the land of the dead and that of the living, the izanami itself was about to reach it. but her ex-husband saw her arrive and quickly blocked the way with such a huge rock that it would take a thousand men to rise, thus creating a permanent barrier between life and death.
