Greed; A world's problem
Greed, or avarice, is an inordinate or insatiable longing for unneeded excess, especially for excess wealth, status, power, or food....Wikipedia
If the human greed can be solved, 50% of the world's problem will disappear immediately.
A lot of people are unhappy today, not because they don't have what they need, but because they are never contented with anything. However, it is important to differentiate between settling for mediocrity and not being greedy. Not being greedy is not the acceptance of circumstances not good enough. It does not mean settling for small things.
Greed has a negative connotation to it. A greedy person can compromise to get his greed satisfied; although greedy desires can never be met, because the more you get, the more you want. However, it is important to note that every human has insatiable desires, but greedy people go about satisfying these desires without a compassionate consideration of other people or things.
Why do you want to store up money for your fifth and sixth generations when a child close to you is dying of hunger?
The end justifies the means
Greed always end in a negative way. Most greedy people end up being frustrated and unfulfilled in life because they have long left the true essence of life in pursuit of their selfish desires.
My Conclusion
If it would pay you in the long run, don't do it.

Human want are unsatisfiable but there is a line between greed and wanting more. In life there is nothing worth dying for. Anyone that thinks about only himself is a greedy person but one that want more to help his family, love one and help shape the world into a better place have the right mentality. Thank for sharing.

Greed is originally the cause of mans historical downfall. Even from Adam, the earths first couple exhibited greed and put their offsprings into this sad condition by not being contented with the provisions they had in their control.. But the most greedy of all and in fact greed itself is "the devil" . Anyone who follows his path will surely dig his own grave.

Honestly, greed is a universal enemy. It's absolutely a good thing to have money, but becomes extremely dangerous for money to have someone in greed. When money possesses a person, his or her sanity and empathy are suspended, as vapours into the sky...

Greed goes far enough to hurt the normal system of life. Greediness is one of the socio-economic problem we as humans are facing on daily basis.
