Flat Earth Theory .........NASA

in #nasa6 years ago

The flat Earth theory seems to contradict itself with every argument.

Answering this question really depends on which flat Earth model you use.

Most flat Earth models depict the sun and moon dangling around under a dome called “firmament” spinning around us. In this model NASA would have no need to fake the moon landing do to the moon being within the dome that contains our atmosphere. If the moon was to be so close, planes, rockets, high altitude balloons and the like would be running into the sun and moon all the time. If I was to imagine a reason under that model it would be that NASA was trying to cover up the deaths of all the people flying into the the sun and calling it the Bermuda Triangle. (sarcasm, yet an example of the way people come up with these conspiracy theories). This model, however, can be debunked by comparing vantage points of both north and south hemispheres. In this model, one picture taken of the moon in Europe and one in Australia should not be similar at all because you’d be looking at opposite sides of the moon. But, because the moon is tidal locked with the Earth and far away everyone on the planet sees the same side of the moon. You can also have someone in the northern and southern hemisphere record the rotation of the stars. The sky spins in opposite directions. If a sky dome was circling a flat Earth it could not spin in both directions at the same time.

Another angle could be in the history of religion and secret societies.

Legend: Throughout history religion was used to hold together society and control the masses. It was found that people would resist the laws of man yet follow any request of a higher power.

Leader: “You must obey.”

Masses: “Says who?”

Leader: “Saith.. uh.. (insert deity)”

Masses: “Oh, ..ok”

Theory: Eventually, groups would form that decided to think, learn and teach ideas outside that of the church. One of these groups was the Free Masons. The Catholic church which had great power at the time ordered them disbanded. Many of those Free Masons went on to colonize the western world and eventually become the forefathers of the United States of America. It’s been stated that the astronauts on the Apollo mission were Free Masons and there are many Free Mason symbols throughout NASA emblems. If you were to subscribe to this theory, you could say that NASA being a Free Mason organization is still trying to fight the rule of the church by getting people to question the “Word of God.”

But… there would be nothing to gain for NASA or the Free Masons. It would make more sense that religious powers would push flat Earth theory to get people back to the church to maintain that power. Religion is used by most political powers. They would have more to gain.

Summary: No matter how you stack up the theories, NASA would have nothing to gain by hiding a flat Earth. If they were to make that discovery they could use it to become a religious power themselves stamping out all other religions. One true power. That’s just not the case.
