Remedies of the grandmother: Chinchamochina for the lechina and other diseases.

Remedies of the grandmother: Chinchamochina for the lechina and other diseases.

"Itches me here, itches me there" is the most frequent phrase heard when you have lechina, at least here in Venezuela and you never miss a grandmother who says: "Mija, bathe with chinchamochina and drink the water with lemon to cool you" and in this way it was perpetuated from generation to generation this remedy to treat this annoying disease.

However, investigating a little about their properties, I noticed that their properties go beyond topical use, but first "let's talk" about the characteristics of this plant.

The chinchamochina is considered a perennial shrub and is typical of tropical areas. It grows wild and reaches between half a meter and two high. This is also known as Sanguinaria, Sangría, Hierba de las siete, Asperón and Aspirilla. In Venezuela, it is known as Chinchamochina.

This plant is usually wooded and its leaves are elongated and soft texture. This one has red flowers. It is possible to find this plant in almost all Central and South America.

Of its chemical composition, it is possible to say that it contains large amounts of silicas and oxalics. Thanks to these components, it can be used to treat skin diseases and to promote diuresis. In addition to this, it contains resins, gums, glycosides and tannins that provide benefits to our body.

During the realization of my research, about the uses of this plant, I discovered that in addition to being used as topical use: boiling the leaves (or leaving them in water for a few hours) to improve itching. It can be used to:

Decrease the formation of kidney stones and grit.
Promote the production of urine, which makes it an excellent diuretic.
Improve and control the menstruation.
Increase hemoglobin.
Improve respiratory diseases: asthma, laryngitis, bronchitis.
Fight infections thanks to the presence of salicylic acid.
Treat headaches associated with migraines.
Treat cutaneous diseases such as lechina and measles.
Improve febrile states.

That being the case, having a chinchamochina plant at home is never over. But remember that, since everything is this life, nothing in excess is good, so you do not have to exceed your consumption a lot.

I am a native of a city where many medicinal plants abound, very good chinchamochina, I remember that when I was a little girl she gave me lechina and this plant helped me to heal quickly.

The chinchamochina is effective for that. I also use it and, immediately, I saw the improvements. Thanks for stopping and reading.
