This was the wound when I opened in the nearest village, after 6 days in the jungle, without proper medicine, only cleaned it with surgical spirit. it was wet while crossed the jungle on the way back.
The way I treat the infection is soaking the infection part into the warm water mix with salt and a few drop of Iodine or similar anti septic. But, surely it will be so painful @macoolette. the other thing to use for bigger wound is warm the honey and apply it on the wound. it will protect it from infection. because the most important thing for the wound is to protect it from germ and bacteria, and the would will heal itself because of our body will fight to recover the wound.

Eeerrr... that's gross! But at least there is no pus.
Next time you go to the jungle, you should bring salt with you. See what I did here with my hand. It was a clean wound. The salt wonder did it!

There is no need to mix warm water with salt. Just rub the salt on the wound! That's direct and more effective result. 😂
