"KUNJI" (in Hindko language)(Eng. Translation "Key") Naturally grown wild vegetables in the Jhelum Valley, which is a delicious and tasty traditional dish. In Hindko language, It is shaped like a key, so it is called a key.
The "kunji" saag is most commonly found in the colder areas of Jhelum Valley, with the acquisition season occurring from February, March to April 30. It is not used as a vegetable afterwards, although it is used as a life necessity for some other ways. There is a whole diet and delicious vegetables that can be grown at home too but we have no such tradition .

When the kunji saag (vegitable) rises from the earth, in the early days its head is curved inward and very soft. It is picked in the early days of spring . It is popular and introduced as a traditional dish in ancient times in most parts of southern France, as well as in other parts of the United States and Europe, in Indonesia it is specially cooked with coconut oil. In the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, it is known as "Langari" and its "Langari pickle" is very well known in Kashmir and Jammu and it is known as "Karsud" in Kashmir and Karsud pickle is a well-known Dogra (*Sikh rigim before 1947) dish, but in Kashmir is used as a vegetable.

We are most commonly found in the valleys of Lipa and Reshian, Bani Lingarial, Chhattisgarh and Chakra valleys, and it is called kunji saag and cooked as a dry vegetable for eating with chapatis and rice ...... ..... It should be cut closer to the head when separating from the plant so that the life of the plant is also preserved. Before cooking, the inkish color on top should be rubbed with straw or peel and rinse. It has great health benefits, it has many vitamins in it. The presence of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids further enhances its efficacy. It is extremely useful for weight loss and increases immunity against infection. Helps control blood pressure.
