Kootenay

On my way to “Dog Lake”, I pulled over into a picnic area beside the mighty Kootenay river. Wow, check out the turquoise colour of the water! What a gorgeous day it was for a picnic. The Kootenay river is approximately 780 kilometres (485 miles) long. What’s unique about this river is that it crosses the border into the US not only once but twice! One of my favourite rivers in the Canadian Rockies
