Solutions for water pollution

Water pollution

The world suffers from the problem of pollution of water resources, which greatly affects the life of the individual and society, because the availability of water from the urgent needs of human survival and all living things on Earth, as pollution may be the main reason to end life on the planet, Water as a chemical or physical change in the quality of water, whether directly or indirectly, making it unsuitable for the required uses. In this article we will inform you about the causes of water pollution and solutions.

Water Pollution Solutions

Treatment solutions

  • Treatment of wastewater before it reaches the water bodies, and it is possible to take advantage of this water in many purposes such as irrigation projects for agricultural land.

  • Disposal of floating oil on the surface of water bodies, in several ways such as incineration or suction, and work to store it in vessels where it was prepared. It is necessary to avoid the use of chemicals as much as possible to avoid harming marine organisms such as fish and various marine plants.

  • Recycling usable waste again, rather than dumping it in the banks, and reaching groundwater.

Preventive Solutions

  • State enforcement of many laws that contribute to the maintenance of groundwater clean-up through the enactment of laws that prohibit agriculture or the establishment of industrial activities that threaten the safety of groundwater.

  • Work on the introduction of new technologies that prevent pollution in factories.

  • Disposal of residues of radioactive pollutants in desert areas away from population centers.

  • Regular water analysis, and the provision of specialized laboratories in this field, to ensure water quality and non-pollution.

  • Minimize the causes of air pollution such as smoke, and toxic gases, which in turn lead to pollution of rainwater as it descends.

  • Holding seminars that increase awareness of the need to protect water from pollution.

Causes of water pollution

  • Contamination of water sources, such as rivers and lakes, with sewage that contains a lot of harmful bacteria and bacteria, which do not degrade biologically.

  • Factory waste, such as soap, detergents, paints, petroleum refining, and mineral and chemical waste.

  • Use of pesticides, fertilizers in the soil, which may reach groundwater and river water through rainwater.

  • Rainwater During rain, rain passes through the sea surface with many pollutants in the air such as nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide.

  • Oil tankers are exposed to accidents, where water pollution occurs with oil through tanker crashes, through attempts to search for oil, or by dumping some tankers passing through water bodies for some waste and petroleum wastes.

  • Medicines, waste water in the manufacture of drugs contains a small percentage of substances harmful to human health and difficult to get rid of during treatment.

  • Radioactive materials from nuclear weapons factories, where these factories receive their waste in water bodies, are considered the most dangerous contaminants, because their effects continue for thousands of years.

You are definitely posting about things I care about, which is why I gave a follow. Public health is my field of study and water pollution is an enormous public health burden, which leads to many problems (infectious diseases being one). Another huge issue, while on this topic, is water security. With the population growing the way it is, water is running out...and FAST. We need to conserve this precious resource because this is the number one resource which constitutes life. Great post, keep up the good work :)
