Photography, The Best Form!
Hey everyone, sure that title is rather subjective but hey, I am a nature boy bunny hugger bee feen and why not? So I just took the E-scooter ride to go and hunt for some epic pics of my favourite insect and returned with some epic ones..
Check out my last post here where I took a nice video of this lovely little lady in a feeding frenzy on what would appear to be a weed? These pink flowers grow naturally and produce a white pink pollen as can be seen on their back legs. https://steemit.com/ocd-resteem/@craigcryptoking/foraging-wild-flowers
I noticed these bees foraging for nectar too in these flowers, who would have thought that a weed would be such an integral part of the bees diet, but alas it certainly is!
Now this one really peaked my interest. There are many known bee species, not many honey bee species, this one certainly is not a honey bee (Pretoria Indigenous bees are apis mellifera skuttelata, check out more here as per bing.com https://www.bing.com/search?q=apis+mellifera+scutellata&form=EDGTCT&qs=SC&cvid=9d71153dd34746da98880cdc4f089bf0&cc=US&setlang=en-US ) I saw this for the first time today, it was foraging this 'weed' with the skutellata (Africanized Honey Bee) working in perfect symbiosis but certainly not sharing a home!
Of my favourite pics on this shoot, no photoshop here. Love the cloudy skyline and emphasis on the focal point bees and flowers!
I may just submit this to @papa-pepper weekly combination photocontest!
Trust you have an amazing weekend and incredible new year 'Nature Style'
