Traditional Hindu temple Kerala
These are some pics from my recent visit to a traditional temple near my city. The temple premises consist of small sub temples with different deities and each deity has a different type of tree in front of their temple. Hindu concept of God is closely related to nature and conservation of nature. Even every diety have an animal which is considered as the means of travel of the diety. The killing of the that animal is considered as a crime and hence conserving different animal specious.
Do you know whether that is a banyan tree in the photo? I've seen similar trees in Hawaii and Key West, Florida. Very beautiful and hypnotic
Yes, it is banyan tree. They spread like this using their hanging branch. Pupil tree is also common in temples. ☺
