Slime central
Slugs big and little, snails small and medium, and an ants' nest of eggs were all discovered beneath the railroad tie in the yard. There are generally a few slimy things under the tie but this was a bonus day. The boys went to town with them and I have not seen them since. Likely they ended up in the creek, trying to quickly and desperately learn the art of flotation, which they are notoriously poor at.
