Ostriches differ from other birds in their huge size. The height can reach, with the neck extended upwards, up to 2.7 m, the mass passes over fifty - up to 75 kg, sometimes the weight of large individuals varies within 130 kg (this is comparable with the weight of a well-fed piglet).
