Nature # 15 or bright bullfinch!

Today I want to show you a very beautiful bird. This bird is called bullfinch. This little bird with a bright red chest pleases us every winter.

Bullfinch is distributed almost throughout Europe, except for the northernmost and southernmost areas of it, and in Asia, north of the Himalayas to Japan. Bullfinches usually keep small flocks of 7-10 birds in each. Earlier I always asked myself the question - why do I see these birds only in winter? But then I found out that this bird has such a bright color only in winter. In the summer, this bird changes its color to gray, so as not to attract too much attention to itself and to its offspring.
In the winter these birds can be seen on the bushes of mountain ash, they are very fond of berries.
Such a bright and unusual plumage belongs only to males in order to attract females :)

Still, these birds have the talent to copy the singing of other birds. Because of this skill, these birds are often kept in cages, but I do not approve this. I believe that wild birds and animals should live in nature on freedom.
