HIGH ADVENTURE PLANS EXIT FROM PORT EADS

in #nature5 years ago

The most pressing of several problems, according to Kuchta’s letter, is that South Pass, the waterway used to access Port Eads, has silted in to the point that only small boats with shallow drafts can navigate to the camp.

Interesting article about the possible closure of the Port Eads lodging facility. I've stayed there, and it would be a huge shame to close it down, it's really a unique place to stay, if anyone reading this gets the chance to go, please go, you won't regret it.

Seems like they could dredge the waterway in front and use the silt to build marsh somewhere else that needs it, seems like a win win to me.....
