Murmurating starlings...

That time of the year

Yesterday, as I was driving home from work I saw a mesmerizing view of a flock of starlings, making the most wonderful figures in the sky. There must have tens of thousands of them. I was baffled and just parked my car to watch.
This time of the year is when you can see them at their best, and in the month of february too. Why? I don't know. But they seem to come together when the night is about to set in, and they start their dance.

It is just a wonder to watch. This movie is not filmed by me, but it is incredible.
