TORRINHA CAVE - CHAPADA DIAMANTINA - BAHIA - BRASIL
The Torrinha Cave is one of the richest in speleothems in South America and the world and has the slogan "the most complete in Brazil".
It is located in the interior of the state of Bahia, in the tourist region known as Chapada Diamantina
Having speleothems endemic amidst their collections of rarities.
The great highlight of this cave is a formation that is unique in the world, a helicite with a flower of aragonite at the tip, the two speleothems are already difficult to be found in nature, and the junction of these two until today was only found in this cave.

The Torrinha cave is located in the municipality of Iraquara in a private property, open to controlled visitation, and the guardian of the torrinha is Mr. Eduardo Figueredo, who shows us the interior of the cave and its rarities in the video below:

The walk in the cave can be done under the guidance of a local specialist guide and with the use of shoes and protective helmet. There are different routes with short, medium and long duration.
O passeio na caverna pode ser feito mediante orientação de um guia local especializado e com o uso de calçados e capacete de proteção. Existem diferentes roteiros com duração curta, média e longa.
The access inside the Torrinha begins with a walk in terrain little rugged, as it enters the cave the route happens to be injured, in some stretches it is necessary to lower to pass between halls and galleries inside the cave.
O acesso dentro da Torrinha começa com uma caminhada em terreno pouco acidentado, conforme vai entrando na gruta o percurso passa a ficar acidentado, em alguns trechos é necessário abaixar para passar entre salões e galerias no interior da caverna.
