Agreed with @sgt-dan.

@walden has been kicked off of @steemflagrewards and will be on our watchlist permanently.

a group taking prompt ACTION......kudossss

@guiltyparties, not sure if you are aware of what you are supporting

A fellow veteran. Also that vote is automatic.

so if someone who happens to be a fellow veteran does something horrible that's okay? whatever, done here

It's an automated process that I have absolutely zero means to alter in any way without destroying the entire Veterans Project. It's just a machine that gives a very small percentage of a vote.

If you can't remove an automated vote for a prick like @walden without destroying the entire Veterans Project, you're doing the automated voting wrong.

I can't do it for anyone. It's not a vote issue, it's the fact that all veterans go on the list. The vote itself is a tiny percentage.

@guiltyparties maybe time to recode the machine then there has to be a way to exclude people who behave abominably. What message doe that send ? This guy tried to extort nudes from women , he attacks people accusing them of things he does all the time .

The highlighter is not a promoter and that's where part of the confusion lies. It's meant to show the community what vets are doing and posting on a day to day basis, (most of their contribution is good but far from all of it and it's not a short list). The curation from it is basically non-existent.

Part of the problem is that since the highlighter was launched, a lot of other projects followed suit and those are meant to curate in the sense that it's meant to give upvotes and not really meant to be read. This one is just for browsing purposes. What I am going to do is change the template to explain this and re-define the term 'curation'.

I can't take a veteran off it unless there's a reasonable doubt whether their discharge was honorable or not. If there's any doubt, the list won't pull that name.

@guiltyparties Ok again, it is not about curation rewards! It is about your name on a shitpost supporting a person who abuses women, abuses other stemians, Who uses private photos of stemians with defamatory messages. This reflects bad on you as a witness! I get it is an autovote but it still reflects bad on you. If the system does this it needs to be changed! You have my witness vote you had it for a while now , voting for a witness who has his name on the content of a known sexual predator also reflects on me badly. do you see how this affects everything including the platform we both care about ? saying you cannot change it is not enough , something needs to happen!

I understand your concern. Me being a witness is just me running a server that processes blocks and having the joy of having to stay up all night updating it when there's a crash. I'll think on what can be done. Editing the bot for this case is not possible as it must show the bad with the good, otherwise it won't present an accurate snapshot.

It seems to me that in the end, it's not just this list that no one reads that's being discussed here. The community over the last half a year increasingly wanted to eliminate content that it dislikes, similar to Twitter and Reddit. This is a larger discussion that should be had with Steemit Inc if that's indeed the case.

P.S are you telling me you cannot pull that vote manually now btw? why is it still there ...

It's a marker. That's why it's not a 100% vote. What I can do is make it even more worthless.
