Fishings been kinda blah lately.

I haven't had much luck lately....

Mostly it has been mediocre at best. Maybe a few hardhead catfish or croakers. That's not what it is about though. I like to enjoy the peacefulness of watching the waves, seeing the gracefulness of the birds, or listening to the sounds of nature.

• I know, that is what people who don't catch any fish say!

Some things that really bother me, and I see them quite frequently, is trash left on the beach and wasting our resources. Here are just a few examples from my outing yesterday.... Sad.

Please, please, please pick up your trash. Please do not waste our fish like this. If you are going to eat them please do but do not leave the waste on the beach. We are all trying to enjoy it and the smell of rotting, hot fish is not enjoyable! At first I was fishing at my favorite bayou but the stench of the floating alligator gar became too much for me. I then drove up the beach and saw leftover 4th of July trash strewn about and all of the wasted fish. Some of the catfish and the Red Drum were really large and they were just filleted and left in the sun.

Maybe one day soon I will get to write a blog about how well I am doing fishing and show off some trophy pix! Until then I will just continue to catch and release..... Again, please take care of our waterways and beaches.
