NeedleworkMonday: Testing a Crochet-Pattern / Häkel-Test

The Goal / Das Ziel

I was looking for a pattern for crocheting a scrubby (or a makeup remover pad, the difference is only the size), it should be beginner friendly and decorative. So perhaps multicoloured or with an interesting shape or texture. I had seen some spirally things, but how do you crochet them?

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer Anleitung zum Häkeln eines Spülis (oder eines Makeup-Entferner Pads, der Unterschied ist ja nur die Größe), es sollte anfängerfreundlich sein und dekorativ. Also entweder mehrfarbig oder mit interessanter Form bzw. Textur. Was Spiraliges hatte ich gesehen, aber wie macht man das?

The Result / Das Ergebnis

I had found some patterns for this kind of spiral-round crochet - but unfortunately only in English. My knitting English is quite good - but unfortunately when crocheting this language is not uniform. The British have different terms for stitches than the US... and this is only the beginning. But then once again Ravelry was the solution - there you can also filter by language. So "crochet - spiral - german" were my criteria and I found a pattern that has not only understandable text, but also great and informative pictures.

Ich hatte von dieser Art spiralig-rundem Gehäkeltem einige Anleitungen gefunden - aber leider nur auf Englisch. Mein Strick-Englisch ist recht gut - aber beim Häkeln ist diese Sprache leider nicht einheitlich. Maschen haben bei den Briten andere Namen als in den USA... und das ist nur der Anfang. Doch dann war einmal wieder Ravelry die Lösung - da kann man nämlich unter anderem auch nach Sprache filtern. Also "häkeln - Spirale - deutsch" als Kriterien eingegeben und eine Anleitung gefunden, die nicht nur vom Text verständlich ist, sondern auch gut erklärende Bilder hat.

Ah - what had the interesting name "Tambour Chain Crochet" in the one English pattern are simple slip stitches on the otherwise finished project. No problem, we can do that!

Ah - was in der einen englischen Anleitung so kompliziert als "Tambour Chain Crochet" bezeichnet wurde, sind simple Kettmaschen auf dem ansonsten fertigen Projekt. Kein Problem, das bekommen wir hin!

As the pattern explains everything so marvelously I spare myself the trouble of doing a tutorial. Even if you can't speak English, but know a bit of crochet, you should understand everything through the pictures there. Only the 'magic loop' at the beginning is not explained but there are a lot of tutorials for that on the net. I made two of the 'coasters' and crocheted them together with slip stitches in red as the continiation of the spiral

Weil die Anleitung alles so wunderbar erklärt spare ich mir selber ein Tutorial zu machen. Auch wer kein Englisch kann, aber etwas häkeln, sollte durch die Bilder dort alles verstehen. Nur der Fadenring zu Beginn ist nicht erklärt aber dafür gibt es Tutorials aller Art im Netz. Ich habe zwei dieser "Untersetzer" gemacht und sie mit Kettmaschen in rot zusammen gehäkelt, sozusagen in Fortsetzung der roten Spirale.
