Hello everyone! Welcome to @needleworkmonday’s Featured Posts #17! This is a weekly Curation showcasing the needlework of our very own Steemians. Every Monday we get together to share our love and passion for the needle arts using the #needleworkmonday tag. We enjoy each other’s creations, ideas, patterns, tips and shortcuts.

We strive to bring to you great quality work filled with tutorials and inspiration. Please help us keep these wonderful needle arts alive and thriving by supporting our work and community.

Let’s look at today’s curation...

Hand knitted baby gift by @eglep

Knitting stuff for babies is fun - you have a gift that's swiftly done and it's useful and personal at the same time. The baby shoes here are a perfect example for that. A fast knit and so cute - I especially love the white fuzzy edging. Imagine them on teeny tiny feet! @eglep shows us how to make them with several instructional photos. They're perfect for leftovers - when's the next baby shower you're invited to? Here's the perfect gift!

Farmer's Wife Blocks... a tutorial (The Contrary Wife) by @thistle-rock

Quilting is a fascinating hobby and there's a wide variety of styles. Some weeks ago @creationofcare showed us her free style (or what ever it is called) quilting with embroidery and lots of different fabrics, but there are a lot of traditional patterns in different difficulties (I once made a "Roman Stripes" quilt which was beginner-friendly). @thistle-rock offers an insight into patchwork, how to prepare the blocks (only press the iron!) and how to sew. Perhaps her posts will inspire others to start this interesting hobby?

Knit to be seen! Easy bobble hat and crochet cowl pattern by @neumannsalva

Winter means a lot of dark hours which is neither good for your mood nor your visibility. What's a better solution than something that keeps you warm and makes you be seen?@neumannsalva made a hat and a scarf for herself with colorful yarn. She explained how to use yarn of different weights to make color combinations and how to use the different techniques - knitting resp. crocheting - to their best. I especially like it where she made a single shell in one color in the scarf - I would have never thought about it, only made wide stripes in the different colors.

We’re on Discord!!

The @SteemitMamas community has generously given us our own little world set up in their Discord sever. Thank you to @khimgoh for working tirelessly to get everything set up for us to make sure things will run smoothly. Your commitment and dedication to help others is highly treasured!

@muscara, @shanibeer and @crosheille are working together to help make this transition as easy as possible. Please bear with us as we are doing so in our spare time. Here is what you need to know:

1 . To join the @needleworkmonday discord server please click the logo below. It will take you to the general welcome page.
2 . Once there please tag the @ MOD NeedleWorkers (no space between @ and MOD) so all of the mods will know you are there to join NeedleWorkMonday!
3 . You will then be assigned the Guest Needleworkers role.
4 . Drop an intro in the introductions channel giving us a little background about your needle niche. Please also include a link to your Steemit profile so everyone can know how to find you.
5 . After following these steps you will then be granted full access to the server!

We look forward to seeing you all there and are excited to chat with you directly. We’ll see ya there!!
