Net neutrality is freedom on the Internet

President Trump has placed at the head of the Federal Communications Commission, an opponent to the neutrality of the net. The FCC’s repeal of net neutrality will officially take place on June 11th. The FCC voted to repeal net neutrality and let big cable companies control the Internet. But after millions of us flooded Congress with emails and calls, the Senate overturned the FCC’s disastrous decision. Now we need the House of Representatives to do the same. The repeal of net neutrality by the FCC will officially take place on June 11. As of today, Internet providers like Comcast will be able to legally censor websites, block apps and services, and charge us additional fees for accessing content online. The Internet as we know it will not stop suddenly. But every second that passes until the neutrality of the net is restored, it will die slowly.

We must inundate legislators in the House with calls and e-mails demanding that they use the Congress Act (CRA) to override the FCC. So, on June 11, take any corner of the Internet that you control, be it a major platform or a personal Instagram account, and tap its reach to lobby Congress. We already won in the Senate. Now we must win in the House. So please tweet and call your House Representatives.

Trump is literally forming a dictatorial regime and we will have no way to keep fighting. This proposal cancels almost two decades of agreements between left and right, which protect Americans' ability to freely access the Internet. Net neutrality officially ends on June 11, but the fight is just beginning
