Kenyan dam bursts, causing destruction, deaths – official

Kenyan town dam exploded after several days of heavy rain, causing huge damage and casualties, Kenyan newsa said on Thursday.

The burst happened in Wednesday at 190 kilometres (120 miles) northwest of the capital, Nairobi in a town called Soldiers, Nakuru County.

“The water has caused a huge destruction of both life and property.
“The extent of the damage has yet to be ascertained,” Lee Kinyajui, Governor of Nakuru, said in a statement
