Hello! I'm MINSTAR!

저번 주는 저의 적응기간이었어요.
Last week was my adjusting period.

그리고 이제는 점점 추위에도 잘 적응해서~! 처음처럼 옷을 많이 입지 않아요 ! ㅋㅋㅋ
And now I'm getting used to the cold. so now I don't dress much like first time ! lol

제목에 올린것처럼 뉴질랜드에서의 제 도전은 바로 바로....
As the title suggests, my challenge in NZ is........

'유치원에서 봉사하기 ' 에요!

'VOLUNTEER IN KINDERGARTEN'

사실 전 한국에서 어린이집 교사 로 일했어요.
In fact, I worked in Korea as a teacher at a kindergarten.

'아동학과' 를 전공하여서 직장 어린이집에서는 제일 좋다는 곳 2곳에서 일하였어요.
My major was 'child education and psychology ' and worked in two places where are best in kindergarten.

올해 일을 그만두었고 지금은 뉴질랜드에 있네요. 하하
I quit my job this year and now I'm in NZ . haha

제 첫 도전으로 무엇이 좋을까 곰곰히 생각해봤는데...
I thought about what would be good for my fist challenge.

아무래도 전공이 '아동'쪽이니 아동과 관련된 것만 생각나더라구요.
I want to try other field but I thought only about children.

그래서... ' 일단 해보자' 하는 마음으로 도전해보기로 했어요.
So.... I decided to give it a try.

뉴질랜드 유치원에서 봉사활동을 했다???

DID I DO VOLUNTEER WORK AT NZ KINDERGARTEN?

한국에 오기전부터, 제가 사는 곳 근처 공립 유치원에 연락했어요. 무작정.. ㅋㅋㅋ!!
Before coming NZ, I contacted a public kindergarten near where I live.

처음에는 '에이전시' 를 통해서 오라고 하더라구요. (에이전시 이용비: 200~300백만원 정도 한다네요)
At first, they asked to me come through an agency. (agency fee : 1700~2700 dollars / us )

제 학교 졸업증, 성적 증명서, 범죄신원조회, 전 직장 추천서 등
My school diploma, school record, criminal identification check, former job recommendation, etc.

모든 서류를 보냈지만 최종적으로 에이전시 없이는 안된다고 하여서
I sent them all the documents, but they finally told me they couldn't do it without an agency.

그래도 홈스테이 가족의 도움을 받아서 옆 동네에 있는 교회 유치원을 가게 되었어요!! 😝
But with helping from my homestay family, I went to church kindergarten next town.

진짜 홈스테이 가족 없었으면 더 오래 걸렸을거에요.
It would have taken longer without my homestay family.

장기가 아닌 하루 단기봉사였지만,
It was a short day service,

다른 나라의 문화를 접할 수 있는 좋은 기회였어요.
It was a good opportunity to experience other cultures.

뉴질랜드 유치원은 어땠어요?

HOW WAS THE NEW ZEALAND KINDERGARTEN?

공간이 넓고 바깥 놀이터가 꼭 있다.
It has a lot of space and an outdoor playground.

어린이집에서 일해본 경험이 있는 저에게, 뉴질랜드 유치원 환경이 정말 좋았어요.
For me who have worked in Korea at kindergarten, the environment of kindergarten in NZ was great.

보통 한국에 있는 어린이집은 땅값이 비싸서 넓은 공간을 가질 수가 없어요.(서울기준)
Usually, daycare centers in Korea can't have large spaces because of the high land prices.(Seoul standard)

그래서 바깥놀이터가 없는 경우가 정말 많아요.
That's why there are so many times when there is no playground.

그런데 뉴질랜드는땅이 넓어서 그런지 아이들을 위한 공간이 정말 충분했어요.
But New Zealand has a lot of land.

에너지를 신체로 표현해야 하는 아이들이 있는데,
There are kids who need to express their energy to the body,

한국에서는 공간이 넉넉하지 못하다 보니, 아이들이 서로 잘 부딪혀서 싸워요.
We don't have enough space in Korea, so the children fight each other well.

여기 뉴질랜드 아이들은 서로 부딪힐 일이 없다보니, 여기 있는 동안 아이들이 싸우는 모습은 못봤어요.
The kids here in New Zealand never hit each other, so I didn't see them fighting while I am here.

위 사진은 제가 갔던 유치원은 아니고 다른 곳 사진을 대신해서 가져왔어요.
The picture above is not the kindergarten I went to, but I took it instead of other picture.

제가 갔던 유치원과 가장 유사한데 이것보다 더 아늑하고 넓직했어요.
It was the most similar to the kindergarten I went to, but it was more cozy and spacious than this.

여기까지 제가 뉴질랜드 유치원에서 봉사활동을 한 경험을 적어보았어요.
So far, I wrote down my experiences of volunteering at a New Zealand kindergarten.

뉴질랜드 유치원은 제가 배웠던 내용들이 잘 실현된 곳이었어요.
New Zealand kindergarten was where everything I had learned came true.

다른 유치원을 가본 것은 아니지만,
I haven't been to any other kindergarten,

뉴질랜드 선생님 말에 의하면, 여기보다 훨씬 더 좋은 환경이 많다고 하셨어요.
According to my teacher, there are much better environments than here.

이보다 더 좋은 환경이라면, 더 좋지 않을까? 하고 생각이 들었네요.
If it were a better environment, wouldn't it be better? I thought

유치원에서 봉사할때, 아이들과 사진을 찍고 싶었지만,
When I was serving in kindergarten, I wanted to take a picture with the children.

그건 법적으로 해서는 안 되는 일이기 때문에 찍지 않았어요.
I didn't take it because it wasn't supposed to be done legally.

다음 유치원 전경 사진입니다.
Here's a picture of the kindergarten.
사진에서는 잘 안 보이지만, 입구가 아이들이 문을 열고 닫을 수 없는 구조로 만들어져 있었어요.
You can't see it in the picture, but the entrance was designed so that children couldn't open and close the door.

유치원 내부 사진을 찍었으면 좋았겠지만... 깜빡했네요 ㅜㅜ
I wish I had taken pictures of the inside of the kindergarten. I forgot.
