Cryptocurrency Miners are using too much energy in Quebec.

Now this is something new, never heard before, Quebec's gouverment is blocking all the new requests for hydroelectric power if the request is made for cryptocurrency mining. The Gouverment took this decision so they can keep the supply up for the rest of the Canadian province.

They are working on creating a program that can be bought only by miners, probably with different fees, with a block of envergy saved just for the miners. The measure announced is a practical approach to attract more blockchain investors.

And it looks like this is not the only case, earlier this year in Plattsburg, New York, Bitcoin mining was banned.
