Escalation: Iran Responds with Rocket Attack
Less than one hour after President Trump announced yesterday that America would officially be withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, Israel launched a missile attack on military bases south of the Syrian capital city of Damascus. Today, it is being widely reported but unconfirmed other than by Israeli sources that Iran has launched a rocket attack, firing 20 rockets from a base in Southern Syria to an unreported location in Israel in or near the Golan Heights. This is significant because, until now, Iran has shown tremendous restraint in their response to dozens of Israeli incursions over the past few years. Many have been waiting to see what the Iranian response will be, but I will be looking for further confirmation of this attack.
