Rebels get no relief in Daraa as ISIS launches new assault

BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 P.M.) - The rebel forces inside the western countryside of the Dara'a Governorate were the recipients of another big assault from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) at the Sheikh Sa'ad front.

According to pro-opposition activists in southern Syria, the Jaysh Khaled bin Walid faction of the Islamic State launched a fresh assault on the towns of Sheikh Sa'ad and Jaleen.

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces at these two towns would later confront the Islamic State terrorists that were attempting to seize this part of the Dara'a Governorate this morning.

Intense clashes are still ongoing at the moment, as the Islamic State attempts to capitalize on the upcoming Syrian Arab Army offensive that is supposed to start in the coming days.
