Russian Air Force bombs northern Aleppo after jihadists launch attack on gov't areas

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:10 P.M.) - The Russian Aerospace Forces unleashed a massive assault on the jihadist rebels positioned just north of Aleppo city, today, a military source told Al-Masdar News.

According to the source, the Russian Aerospace Forces were responding to a breach in the Aleppo ceasefire that was caused by the jihadist rebel forces near the Turkish lines.

The source added that the jihadists heavily shelled Al-Zahra'a Association Quarter, Al-Neel Street, and Al-Khalidiyah District, killing at least one civilian and wounding a dozen others.

The jihadist rebels have recently launched several attacks in this area following the news that Turkey and Russia were planning to open the Aleppo-Gaziantep Highway to the public.
