Saudi, UAE-backed forces fail to advance towards key Yemeni port

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:15 P.M.) - The Saudi and UAE-backed troops launched another big attack in western Yemen, yesterday, targeting the coastal areas that are under the control of the Houthi forces.

However, their attack would once again fail after several hours of fighting the Houthi forces at the Al-Farah coastal area, which is just south of the Hodeideh Port.

These GCC-backed troops have repeatedly tried to breakthrough the Houthi lines in an effort to reach Hodeideh from its southern perimeter.

With many of fighters already besieged around Hodeideh, this offensive has turned sour for the GCC-backed forces, as they have lost the momentum they previously had.
