BPN Official Involved Pungli Arrested Police
An officer in charge of the National Defense Agency (BPN) of Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Province was arrested by police officers for allegedly charging illegal fees.

In the hand-catching operation, the police secured tens of millions of rupiah from a number of land certificates, Friday afternoon (23/2/2018). The LHokseumawe Criminal Investigation Team arrested a state official assigned to the office of the National Land Agency (BPN) .Lhokseumawe,
The initials officer (SI) was caught by the police in his office with various proofs of twenty million rupiah from illegal fees in land certification. Police also secured other evidence of land certificates and the police immediately arrested officers at Lhokseumawe Headquarters for further investigation.

Lhokseumawe Police Chief AKBP Hendri Budiman said the arrest of officers Pungli officers started from the information society because of the rampant charges conducted in the office of Lhokseumawe.
According to Hendri, the police then immediately deployed a female police officer to the BPN office to investigate and finally after a week the officer was arrested with evidence of tens of millions of rupiah allegedly from illegal levies.
Hendri added, the arrest was conducted at around 15:00 pm Friday afternoon (23/2/2017) at his office at BPN Lhokseumawe.
As a result of these actions, the Head of Section (Kasi) at the Lhokseumawe BPN office was arrested at the Police Headquarters and the police also secured evidence of 20 million rupiah cash and a number of documents regarding the extension of land titles.

Until now the police are still investigating cases of pungi to know other immoral people who are involved in illegal levies.
