Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, has been punished for moderate over-rate after his side neglected to bowl their overs inside the stipulated time against Chennai Super Kings at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Wednesday (April 25).
"As it was his group's first offense of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct identifying with least finished rate offenses, Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh," an IPL public statement said.
