In Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan, the consulate of China was attacked. Two policemen and three assailants were killed.

At the same time, a bomb was planted at the market in Klaya. As a result of the explosion 25 people were killed, and up to 50 people could be injured. The number of victims could increase, because some of the wounded were hospitalized in a critical condition.

Local police suspect that Sunni militants are behind the attack because the majority of the victims are Shiites who belong to the local minority.
