Russia installs the S-400 missile system in the Crimea

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it will launch a new S-400 missile system in the Crimea. The reason is to be a violation by Ukrainian ships of their territorial waters and the decision on martial law.

Russia also took control of the Kerch Strait, which separates the Azov Sea from the Black Sea. This is where the attack on Ukrainian ships took place.

Currently in the Crimea, Russia has placed three S-400 missile systems. Spokesman for the Russian Southern Military District Vadim Astafeyev told Interfax on Wednesday that the fourth battalion will be deployed in the Crimea.

The S-400 is able to attack up to 36 aircraft within 400 kilometers and has the capability of combating ballistic missiles.
