Grandfather 112 Year Origin Japan Named The World's Oldest Man

A grandfather from Japan officially crowned as the oldest human who still lives in the world according to Guinness World Records, Tuesday (10/4/2018).

Masazo Nonaka, who was born on July 25, 1905, received a certificate from Guinness at his home in northern Hokkaido Island.

launching from AFP, Masazo still lives with his family who now manages a hot spring bath.

"Although he needs a wheelchair to move, but in general his health condition is quite good," said his granddaughter, Yuko Nonaka

yuko also reveal the secrets of the grandfather to longevity and stay healthy for more than a century.

"Grandpa is very fond of sweet foods, both traditional Japanese and western food," he said.

Masazo has seven brothers and a sister who all live close to him in the city of Ashoro, Hokkaido.

Masazo was married in 1931of the marriage, his wife, Hatsuno, gave birth to five children.

Masazo officially holds the title as the oldest human who still lives in the world after the previous title holder, Francisco Nunez Olivera of Spain died at the age of 113 in February.

Guinness World record is currently investigating the possibility of a contender for the title of the oldest living man in the world.

Guinness note, the oldest human who ever lived was a Jamaican Violet Brown who died in July 2017 and then at the age of 117 years.

while Japan, has been known as a country with its longevity citizens.

The country several times listed its citizens as the owner of the oldest human predicate, including Jiroemon Kimura, who died in June 2013 at the age of 116.

the local government claims there are about 68,000 citizens who are 100 or older in Japan.
