Chained by the blockchain.. Microsoft Builds Global ID System on Ethereum

While diving down the rabbit hole I came across this article. It's talking about how Microsoft and Accenture have built a Global ID System for Refugees built on a private Ethereum Blockchain.

They go on to talk about other use cases such as ID and Social Security cards, Diplomas, resumes, medical records, etc.. Which got me to thinking about all the positives as well as all the negatives. Like if or when the government adopted this and then every interaction we did would be tied to a blockchain and kept on record.

Not sure if that would be a good or bad thing or if it would even happen, but if we all have learned anything from crypto is that anything can happen at any time.
