Despite the down market and low volume on exchanges and despite institutions and big players remaining relatively silent about this, bitcoin is being bought in mass from OTC trading desks.
Meanwhile the MSM is actively suppressing this information and spreading 'fud' articles.
Altcoin Daily explains all of this in detail with references to an article called 'New whales are here: Somebody bought 133k Bitcoin's in the last 4 weeks' (with proof of the wallet transactions). Also some interesting audio footage of Barry Silbert - founder and CEO of Digital Currency Group on what Wall Street says privately Vs what it says publicly!

it is very possible that the money on exchange and the prices do not truly reveal the actual valuation based on OTC
I agree, but it seems a bit odd that lots of Bitcoin's have been bought recently and the prices haven't gone up!
right as you say, BTC hasn't gone up in price too, even though there are many deposits
True I think there would be a hefty premium if you wanted a lot of bitcoin OTC.
It was the ten year anniversary of the bitcoin white paper today, so yeah I think behind the scenes we are doing better than everyone currently feels.
