Welcome to Steemit. It's a good platform to be on, particularly if you are interested in these types of topics. We do not get the censorship here that they do in the larger platforms such as Fakebook.
Worthy people to follow in addition to Ryan here are @v4vapid and @activistpost. There are many others as well but these two will lead you down some good paths of other folks to follow that are well worth it.
I'll give you a follow to see if I like your content, I think I will from seeing the topics you write about, cheers.
