So, I went to some more video and at the comment section from CyptoTim I found a statement from a user "sidfor911truth" who said
You can learn about Eos on Coinbase and earn $20 worth of Eos. Nice. I think Voice will be an exceptional social media network, with the 12x speed of EOSIO 2.0 with EosVM, it will be a great place for social media and the voice token will be tradeable at some point as well. Why not earn for content on social media instead of 'gay data' getting all your information and making you the product? I am sure the quality of the ux will be fantastic.
What does this mean for Steem?
My own opinion goes into two directions. One part is the huge publicity all social networks will get from this, plus the fact that Facebook is coming up with something in 6 or more month
AND
on the other side might this move some users over to voice as there are no bots and a way more nice interface (if you follow and believe the pictures).
So, the older sister Steem gets in some way a baby sister from the same Father aka Dan. But this baby learned a lot and is already traded at COINBASE and has the big Mother BLOCK.ONE behind and not a Ned who is not yet much visible on the Steem network.
I created my account (requested it with my Email) while having my coffee here in London.
Block.one CTO Dan Larimer’s said.

and we all know what he means as he is the co-foundeder of Steemit, before he was leaving for Block.one in 2017.

My guesstimate:
It will cause some uncertainty here on steem and will also keep the steem price down for a while.. until people discover what voice is and what not...
.. in the end I actually believe it will boost steem as there will be users that want to blog on voice but actually don't do so because they want to stay anonym and end up signing onto steem.
However for eos as a commercial platform and to onboard new users it will be huge!
Might be like this if Voice attracts enough users.
I have also applied for an account now it's just a matter of Time when we get the Beta Access
I applied for an access. But account isn't created yet. How do I know if its in queue. No email notification. Just a message which disappeared in few seconds.

I will follow with interest, however I don‘t think it is a direct competitor that will kill Steem. But we will see. Verification will probably keep many away.
On the other hand exactly this verification give another level of trust to the posts and the message.
We will see.

i thought it would actually be the launch today but it was only presenting...
im not sure on if I am siked or not...it sounds like a bit tooooo much KYC and if its not tradable there is nothing better than a random fb account just decentralized (if we call still call it that)
