Royal wedding: Queen decrees that Meghan Markle’s father will not receive coat of arms
Queen Elizabeth has decreed that Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas, will not be given a coat of arms - Fathers of previous commoners received their own coat of arms; and the Markle’s had reportedly been looking forward to theirs - A senior source at the College of Arms has disclosed that Meghan Markle will receive her own coat of arms instead.

Thomas Markle, father of Prince Harry’s soon-to-be bride, Meghan, has been dealt a major blow following news that he would not be attending the highly-publicized wedding. According to Daily Mail, Queen Elizabeth, Harry’s grandmother, has decreed that he will not be granted a coat of arms. Thomas Markle had been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately; after news emerged that he had received money to pose for pictures which showed him getting ready for the big day. He subsequently disclosed that he would not be attending the wedding, citing heart surgery.
