I think you're wrong about the shrieking. If you read the article, clearly the inmates that reported it were talking about the prison guards, not Epstein. You didn't read it, or you chose to pass on the more sensational version? Hmmm.
Why are they calling it a "hanging"? That's where a person is dropped quickly and their neck snapped, killing them instantly. This was (if it happened as described) a strangulation, not a hanging. The prefer to use the word hanging because it sounds more realistic.
