Rest In Peace Rachid Taha (1958-2018)
Rachid Taha died in his sleep by a heart attack at age 59 yesterday. He was in Paris. Algeria descended musician was famous for some unforgettable songs like Ya Rayah, Ida, Abdel Kader.
Ya Rayah (rayah is a word defining the 'non muslim' populations of Ottoman Empire) maybe his most famous song released in 1997. Here is the link for the song:

He became a symbol in the eyes of millions of immigrants and he was always against the colonialism which causes destruction of cultures and populations as he was a victim of one.
