The Increasing Absurdity of "White Supremacy" Allegation-By-Association Attacks in US Politics

Published 2019-02-13 22:30:07 by Curwen Ares Rolinson in Anglo-5, Headline-News, Opinions, United-States

So earlier this week I happened across a headline: DAVID DUKE ENDORSES ILHAN OMAR, or words to that effect. Now, for those unaware, David Duke is a rather well-known figure due to his previous infamy in association with the KKK. The statement that he's 'endorsing' somebody is supposed to carry with it automagic connotations that whomever it is that's been 'lucky' enough to attract his attention is some sort of White Supremacist and/or 'acceptable face for white supremacy'. (This is directly the implication that has been carried with his 'endorsement' on pretty much every previous occasion it has been foisted... Continue ->

Does the UK want war with Russia? It certainly seems so!

Published 2019-02-13 21:33:00 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, Eurasia, Headline-News, Russia, United-Kingdom

LONDON, The United Kingdom - The Russian embassy in London is concerned about the "militaristic tone" of the minister's speech of the UK Defense Gavin Williamson, a representative of the diplomatic mission in London said. Last Monday, Williamson said that after the completion of Brexit (exit of the British from the European Union) the UK should strengthen their global presence and increase the lethality of their weapons. The British minister also stated that the United Kingdom will be ready to act and will intervene with hard power against Russia, China and other nations or agents that may be against national... WASHINGTON DC, The United States - The US national debt surpassed for the first time the $22 trillion mark, Treasury Department data showed on Tuesday. According to the US Treasury, total US public debt rose more than $30 billion from the latest balance sheet released earlier this month to $22.012 trillion. According to the US Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the US budget deficit will rise by more than $100 billion to $900 billion this year. The CBO said in its January report that deficits will fluctuate between 4.1% and 4.7% of gross domestic product (GDP) over the next decade, well... Continue ->

US hopes military will 'betray' Maduro, but Venezuelan military remains united

Published 2019-02-13 17:30:07 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, Eurasia, Headline-News, Latin-America, Russia, United-States, Venezuela

MOSCOW, Russia - The United States wants the Venezuelan army to "betray" President Nicolás Maduro to facilitate a change of government, Venezuelan ambassador to Russia Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa said on Tuesday. Tensions in Venezuela escalated when Juan Guaidó, the opposition-led president of the National Assembly, declared himself interim president on January 23, vying for Maduro's re-election. Guaidó's statement was almost immediately recognized by the United States and some of its allies, with the former promising to waive punitive sanctions against Venezuelan military officials if they swore loyalty to the opposition leader. Russia, China, Mexico, among others, said they considered... Continue ->

MOSCOW, Russia - Russia reiterates its calls for a peaceful resolution of the North Korean nuclear crisis, as well as other issues of concern to the Korean peninsula, said the director of the first Asian department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Georgy Zinoviev, on Tuesday. "Russia has consistently advocated the peaceful settlement of nuclear issues and other issues of the Korean peninsula," Zinoviev said during a reception hosted by the North Korean embassy in Moscow. "We note with satisfaction that the positive trends in the development of the situation in the region, outlined last year, continue. We recommend the initiatives... Continue ->

In Kiev, proposing to abide by Minsk Accords is treason

Published 2019-02-13 16:18:02 by Tom Winter in Donbass, Eurasia, Russia, Ukraine

We could call it the Volker Doctrine: Lugansk and Donetsk Republics do not exist, and it is purely a matter of Ukraine VS Russia. The Kiev line is the same: Not “civil war,” but “Russian Aggression.” Russia’s ambassador to the UN does a reality check. Novorosinform The essence of the Minsk agreements, obliging Ukraine to […]
