Atal Bihari Vajpayee death: Photo of ‘AIIMS doctors paying last respect’ to ex-PM goes viral, truth will shock you

Indian politics’ ‘Bhishma pitamah’ Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Thursday evening breathed his last at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital. Hours after his death a picture which is said to be if AIIMS doctors paying last tribute to the former prime minister started circulating on social media. The picture baffled many considering it to be the real picture of the late political leader. However, according to a report in ZeeNews, the picture is of a group of Chinese doctors who are paying tribute to a patient whose organ’s were donated after death. In the picture, the doctors can be seen stood in a line and offering their last respect.
The former Prime Minister breathed his last at 17.05 hours on Thursday. The AIIMS hospital in a press release confirmed the same. “It is with profound grief that we inform about the sad demise of Former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at 05:05 pm on 16.08.2018. Shri Vajpayee was admitted in AIIMS on 11.06.2018 and was stable in the last 9 weeks under the care of a team of AIIMS doctors,” AIIMS’ statement reads.

At present, the mortal remains of Vajpayee has been taken to BJP headquarters for the general public to pay their last respect. At 1 PM the final journey of the former Prime Minister would begin. He will be accorded a state funeral at 4 pm on Friday at Smriti Sthal in the national capital.
