16 hours of lightning in five hours
At least 16 people including father and son and housewife were killed in lightning all over the country. 13 people were injured in these incidents.
Today, they die from storm and thunderstorms from 10am to 3pm on Sunday.
Of them, five were born in Sirajganj, two in Noakhali, one in Akhaura, two in Naogaon, one in Gazipur, one in Sunamganj, one in Rangamati and three died in Magura.

Sirajganj: Five people including father and son were killed in lightning in three upazilas of Sirajganj. These thunderstorms occurred in the districts of Shahjadpur, Kazipur and Kamarkhand upazila in the morning.
The deceased were identified as Shamsul Mondal, 55, son of Paresh Mondal of Degree Tekani village of Kazipur upazila and Arman, 14, son of Shamsul Mondal, Nabil Hossain, 17, son of Faruq Hasan of Shahnadpura area, Pauling Hossain, 16, son of Faruq Hasan and Kamarkhand's son Kad Hossain, 37, son of Ahor Mandal of Kuragram, 37.
Chairman of Teknani Union Parishad of Kazipur. Harun's Rashid said, Shamasul was taking a nuts with his son at Degree Tekani Chare in the morning. At the time of thunderstorm with rain, both of them were burnt to death. Locals rescued them both on the way to Kazipur Health Complex.
On the other hand, two college students died due to thunderstorm in front of Shahjadpur Upazila Land Office.
The deceased was identified as Nabil Hossain, a resident of six Anipara mahallas and a first-year student of Poling Hossain Shahjadpur Degree College.

Besides, a farmer named Kader Hossain (37) was killed in lightning in a paddy field of Padda Kura village under Kamarkhand upazila at around 10:30 am. He is the son of Ahar Mandal of that village.
Noakhali: Two people, including schoolgirls, were killed in lightning in Laxminarayanpur village and Senbagh upazila of the municipal area of the district.
Locals said a fifth grade student died in Dinajpur, Noakhali Zila School in lightning in Laksminarayanpur village. His name is Iqbal Hasnat Pial. He said in the village Sohel Rana Jaggal and Parvin Akhter's eldest son. He died in lightning when he returned home after playing cricket on the open field beside the house.
On the other hand, an agricultural worker named Shaheen died in lightning while cutting the rice in Gopalpur village of Nabipur union under Senbagh upazila of Noakhali. Two people named Abbas and Monir Hossain were injured in the incident.
Locals said three people were injured in lightning when the rain started on Sunday at 11 am. Shaheen was killed at the scene.
The deceased was identified as Shahin Bhola district's Tamiz Uddin Upazila's Sonapur village. Son of resin mia The injured Abbas Uddin and Monir Hossain are residents of the same area.
Akhaura (Brahmanbaria): A worker named Abdur Rahim died in lightning while cutting rice at Akhaura in Brahmanbaria. Two others were injured during this time.
On Sunday morning, the accident happened in the gardenbari area of the village of Dewin of Mongla union of the upazila. The deceased worker was a resident of Srimangal.
Meanwhile, the owner of the land Tajul Islam got heart attack after hearing about the casualties of lightning. Two of the injured workers were admitted to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital.
After receiving the news, Akhaura police station recovered the dead body and sent it to the district sadar hospital morgue for autopsy, OC Mosharraf Hossain Tarafdar said.
Naogaon: Schoolgirl and a housewife have died in lightning after lightning.
Locals said a schoolboy was killed in lightning at Piroga upazila of Naogaon around 3pm on Sunday.
The son of Faiz Uddin of Baliachanda village under Muktar Hossain upazila.

On the other hand, a housewife named Sonawan (24) was killed in lightning following a thunderbolt of the district. The injured were identified as Sonawan's husband Rubel Hossain (28), Saleha Bibi (42) and child Raju (12). The injured were taken to Upazila Health Complex.
Gazipur: One checkman dies in the clothing factory named Jafrul Islam (20) in lightning in Matikata area under Kaliakair upazila of the district. Five workers including a woman were injured in the incident. Immediately their name identity could not be known.
