Catalonia's President ARRESTED In Belgium! - Spain's Government Defies Independence

In this video, I talk with author and economic analyst John Sneisen about the evils of coercive collectivism following the Catalan independence vote and subsequent defiance by Spain's government.

90% of people in Catalonia voted for independence from Spain which has been economically dragging down the region. Catalonia is by far the richest part of Spain per GRP (gross regional product). Despite the overwhelming support of Catalans, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy claimed the referendum never happened and that there wasn't enough voter turnout (despite being more of a turnout than those who came out to vote him in with just over 28%).

This ended in brutality in the streets against anyone who dared to vote.

Carles Puigdemont, the Catalan leader was forced to flee the country and then arrested in Belgium where he has since been released.

Now this is a perfect example of how individuals have no say in the affairs of government unless it benefits the establishment's ends.

Where 90% of people can vote for something and be overrode by a Prime Minister who only got 28% of the vote as he claims he speaks for all of Spain, it's just an absolute absurdity.

Government believes a newborn baby has enough sense to magically sign the non-existent social contract and be forced into a collectivist system where 51% rules the 49% under the guise of "freedom" while the government's jackboot firmly crushes the head of anyone who disagrees.
People are extorted and shoved into servitude.

Government's main function is to steal, kidnap and kill and people stand there idly by, apathetically saying it's "for the greater good of the greater number."

And even as 90% of people vote for independence from that nation state, they are denied. Regardless of the policies of Catalonia, it doesn't matter. This simply shows how coercive the state is and that the individual has no say. The individual is a slave and the collective under the social contract rules you into the ground.

Hi joshsigurdson,
Very interesting read, Thanks you for sharing it!

I think we need to talk with a bit of property,
The problem of cataluńa is the politics in cataluńa only 30% of the people is independents , that politics are the representatives of the Spanish government in cataluńa and break Spain is not only a vote from the Catalans, need to be a vote from all the Spanish people ,
Behind all that is only money like always,
Catalonia is the more corrupt regional in Spain and is a lot of money behind all that , in the central bank of Andorra , caiman Islands, and more
This politics need the independence because the Spanish laws are getting close, don’t get a shit about the people, camón are politishans, started to see outside the box , the 30% of Catalans been adoctrínate the same way Hitler use the young Germans

I do believe Catalans will ruin themselves as if it was a Calexit. But the main point weakning the nation state of Spain and EU dictatorship which didn't even allow Estonian government to hold their own ICO. Let the dogs eat among themselves and plan to build a better world over the ashes. I'm starting to see promise in the Asian region.

Are only 30% of Catalans are independents how protect the other 70% Catalans spanish

Democracy at Work. So Proud.

This is a good test for the global communities to find out how long such repression methods will be tolerated in the face of a proud , strong, independent people who have proclaimed their voice in a very peaceful demonstration of their will for full independence...

Thank you for sharing this information with us, namaste :)

hi josh, to have more views you guys should have a more friendly attitude ;) i believe that will help. no offense

The Catalan Government are know political prisoners.

Not , is very different a political prisoner or a political in jail , and I don’t think the Spanish government is done the things right but the Catalans politics are the most corrupts

Ok, I agree, but exaggeration makes it clear. And which government is not corrupt?

We are talking about a30% of independence trying to impose to 70% of Catalans
