Three Dice Gamblers Arrested, One Head of Meurandeh Hamlet
LHOKSEUMAWE - Lhokseumawe Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Retkrim) arrested three men playing gambling (Maisir) dice at the Fish Market, Gampong Pusong, Banda Sakti Subdistrict, Lhokseumawe City, Monday (11/6). The three men had the initials TN (44), HA (48) and SI (35).
Lhokseumawe Police Chief, AKBP Ari Lasta Irawan, through AKP Reskrim Chief Budi Nasuha Waruwu said, starting from information people who feel anxious about allegedly being used as dice type gambling places. Then it immediately drove to the location and carried out a siege around the gambling arena.
When the raid was carried out, dozens of people were playing and watching dice gambling at the place. Aware of the presence of officers, some of them tried to escape. According to the testimony of the perpetrators, the gambling had been carried out for about a month, said Reskrim Kasat to AJNN.
In addition, because some of them had escaped, officers also had a warning shot. And finally three people were arrested namely the National Park, residents of the Lhokseumawe City Village, HA, residents of Blang Raya Kandang Village acting as porters, and SI, the Head of Meurandeh Hamlet, Kumbang Punteut Village, was captured in the raid.
Together with our actors, we also secured the evidence in the form of Rp. 1,538,000 in cash, a set of dominoes, three dice, six dice containers, seven bowls and one wallet, he said.
He said, the three perpetrators will be charged l 18, 19, 20 Aceh Province Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat's law. And now the perpetrators and evidence have been arrested and secured in Lhokseumawe Police Station for further investigation.
